The development of cooperation between the Legislative Council and the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, AIPA Secretariat was among the topics discussed when the Speaker of the Legislative Council received a farewell visit from the Secretary-General of AIPA who will be ending her term of service. During the visit, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib and Her Excellency Architect Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman also discussed the role of AIPA as an important foundation in the development of cooperation between parliaments of ASEAN countries in supporting ASEAN's agenda and priorities. The Speaker of the Legislative Council also expressed his appreciation for the contributions of the Secretary-General of AIPA throughout her term of service.

Also present was Datin Paduka Doctor Dayang Hajah Huraini binti Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hurairah, Clerk to the Privy Council, Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers' Council and Clerk to the Legislative Council. The meeting was held at the Dewan Majlis Building.
